OEM vs. Aftermarket JVC Camcorder Batteries
A popular myth is that aftermarket products are unreliable, and that only OEM products provide the correct quality and
compatibility for your products. However, our replacement camcorder batteries and chargers will meet OEM specifications,
if not exceed them. This means that you may get a replacement battery that offers even more charge-time than your
original battery. www.eobattery.com believes not only in customer satisfaction, but also safety. That’s why all of our
replacement camcorder batteries meet numerous certification standards, including UL, CE, FCC, and RoHS. With high-grade
cells and a one-year warranty, customers will be provided with the safety and satisfaction that they deserve.
JVC Camcorder Battery Specifications
www.eobattery.com has two kinds of batteries for a small number of specific camcorder models: the standard version, and the
higher-capacity version. These higher-capacity batteries are identified by an “H” following the part number
(ex: B-9667H). Although the standard capacity battery may still provide a higher milliampere-rating or wattage-rating
than the OEM battery, this higher-capacity battery will provide even more power, so that you can use your camcorder for
extended periods of time per charge.
A milliampere-rating (represented by “mAh”) is the amount of milliamps a battery is expected to give out; this helps
determine how long the battery will last per charge. Another measurement, the wattage-rating (represented by “W”) also
helps to determine how long a battery will last per charge. These two ratings may change between the OEM and our
replacement camcorder batteries. A third rating, voltage (represented by “V”) is also typically seen on batteries,
but the voltage will likely stay the same between OEM batteries and our aftermarket batteries.
Three other significant terms that you may see on your battery, are “Li-Ion” (short for Lithium Ion), “NiMH” (short for
Nickel Metal Hydride), and “Ni-Cad” (short for Nickel Cadmium). Each replacement battery will be made out of only one
of these three types, and each type provides its advantages and disadvantages over the other. However, all three types
are guaranteed to work efficiently in batteries, and will provide the service and satisfaction that our customers require.
JVC Camcorder Charge and Discharge Rates
A fully charged replacement JVC camcorder battery should last for a few hours. However, attaining a full-charge will
take one to three hours, depending on the type of battery; most batteries can achieve 80% capacity within the first hour.
Overall, these batteries are expected to last an average of two to three years, or 500 discharge / charge cycles. Thanks
to newer battery technology that has been evolving over the past few years, we’ve seen many improvements in battery life
cycles, capacities, and usage; hopefully we will continue to see these improvements and advancements in the future, in
order to provide a longer discharge / charge cycle or longer use per charge.
